Main Purpose:

This role as aviation fuel airport origination and business development is to; analyze markets, identify airport entry opportunities, model business cases, negotiate with external counter parties (airport authorities, into-plane service providers and airline customers) and drive implementation and successful start-up of new airport entry projects.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities, Key Responsibilities:

This role revolves around good communication and so whatever business you work in your duties are likely to include:

Business development including; country and market analysis, detailing potential customers, pricing and volumes. Scope on airport fuel farm and into-plane operations approach and costing.

Model business case with P&L, capital investment, DCF and key assumptions and risks

Prepare detailed implementation check-list (HSE, KYC, Tax, OTC etc) and deliver successful start of operations and business

Sales Management with account management objectives of volume, margin, credit and risk, and leading new market entries

Business Development

  • Leverage external sources to deliver market intelligence and key insights for airport network planning
  • Deliver detailed country and market analysis, including competitor landscape
  • Leads and own the pipeline of airport opportunities
  • Detail potential customers and their respective volumes
  • Build airport fuel cost curve and establish market price levels
  • Scope on airport fuel farm and into-plane operations approach and costing
  • Drive and scope potential competitor acquisition opportunities

Business Case for Airport Fuel Business

  • List key assumptions and risks
  • Work with Construction/Engineering team to design and cost project and detail capital investment requirements
  • Model and stress test P&L and DCF

Implementation

  • Prepare detailed implementation check-list (HSE, KYC, Tax, OTC etc) and deliver successful start of operations and business
  • Work with Construction/Engineering team to ensure process and performance of construction
  • Ensures that relevant and timely support is provided for forecasting accuracy and scope (volumes, )
  • Follows, supports and monitors the execution of each element and all related performance reporting

Sales Management

  • Overall sales account management objectives of volume, margin, credit and risk, and leading new market entries
  • Commercial contacts and brand promotion and marketing activities
  • Financial, credit and risk analysis
  • Volume and margin analysis
  • Tender participation and bid analysis
  • Price setting and analysis
  • Manage prepayment and cash (if applicable)
  • Negotiation of contract and contractual terms
  • Management of claims/queries
  • Prepare demand Forecasting with regional aviation to coordinate with Supply adequate product availability
  • Cross-functional orientation and ability to work successfully in a matrix organization
  • Ability to work under pressure
