As a Manager of Business Innovation in the e-commerce division you will be responsible for developing and managing strategic partnerships within the business as well as externally, you will be responsible to Strategize, develop and implement new businesses around D2C eStore platform to grow Samsung eCommerce business. As well as facilitate the design, delivery & development of Samsung services for eCommerce. This includes; Samsung Pay / AI / Rewards / Connect / EPP / B2B / Bopis / Bopil/ EFT / 0%finance.

You will be required to communicate with internal cross-functional teams such as product, technical, sales, and marketing. As a PMO (Project Management Office), you will coordinate all work-streams, facilitate decision-making, communicate, and manage project progress and deliverables, and play different roles to fill in the gaps.

A strong background in the Telecommunications industry is preferred.

To be successful in this position you need to have strong communication skills, well balanced view of business objectives and technical dependency with a high level of confidence when negotiating with partners.



Bachelor Degree (MBA Preferred)


• 5+ years’ experience in global finance & payment companies

• 3+ years’ experience in the telecommunications industry

• 1 + Year experience working with Hybris

• Strong understanding of the Telco competitive landscape

• Strong communication skills and a high level of confidence (English proficiency mandatory)

• Must be proactive and proficient at entering into partnership and negotiating

• Detail oriented and flexibility to adopt to changing priorities or deliverables

• Global experience preferable (International work experience)

• Capacity to manage themselves in a fast paced, high stress environment

• Affinity for technology and or Systems development

• Identify, develop and manage strategic partnerships with eStore

• Develop the continuous business items in eCommerce Payments ecosystem

• Manage sophisticated deal negotiation from initial term sheet through contract

• Manage existing partner relationships to maximize value

• Ensure deals get fully vetted and supported by the appropriate functional teams and as they close, that they are setup to get implemented and managed well

• Interact with Legal team and Business team for evaluating and making deals successful, as well as ensuring that partner needs are effectively understood and considered

• Coordinate all work-streams for launching systems within the South African market.

• Facilitate decision-making, communication, and managing project progress.

Key Activities

• Strategize, develop and implement new businesses around D2C eStore platform to grow Samsung eCommerce business

• Build business case and feasibility study for CFO review and sign-off

• Manage ePromoter program & ePromoters

• Develop strategy on Contract selling online through the eStore

• Co-ordinate with BOI, Finance and Legal to ensure compliance and launch

• Understand the resource requirements of running Contracts business and provide Management guidance on resources and Target operating Model

• Develop a roadmap of partners for EPP program and develop value propositions

• Integrate with Partner APPs and environments for seamless UX

• Create a call-centre capability

• Create RICA capabilities

• Create new Sim selling capabilities

• Strategize on eCommerce, particularly, eStore need in SSA/Africa

• Develop a roadmap on execution and potential strategies that can be deployed

• Develop a strategy for D2C (sell-out) model

• Stakeholder management on eStore launch project

• eStore launch

• Provide platform support

• Advisory capacity to the team on eStore operations

• Finance support on eStore reporting

• Strategize on enhancements and programs

• Build business case and feasibility study for CFO review and sign-off
