GText Homes a leading real estate solutions provider, headquartered in Lagos, Nigeria, with offices across Africa, North America, Europe & Asia. We are currently recruiting to fill the position of a Chief Project Officer, who will oversee the operations of the firm and all its branches & subsidiaries.

The Project Officer, Construction is responsible for:

  • Project and Contract Management for the delivery of projects delivered by the Construction and Projects Section
  • Provide construction and technical input for the delivery of Civil Construction projects
  • The delivery and reporting of allocated projects to agreed quality standards, within allocated budgets and completed within agreed timeframes applying sound risk management principals
  • The preparation of budget estimations and management including the preparation of financial reports required for the Director, Manager and Team Leader
  • Sound skills in the preparation and process of contract and tender documentation relating to Civil Construction, Landscape and Open Space projects
  • Ability to identify and analyze problems to develop and recommend solutions
  • Responsible for the development of the project schedule to ensure projects are delivered by the successfully by the Construction and Projects Team
  • Management and reporting of project milestones, progress of projects/programs utilizing council’s project management systems
  • Coordination and surveillance of contractors and contracts to ensure agreed outcomes are achieved
  • Provide professional and relevant advice and assistance to elected members and external and internal customers for your allocated projects
  • Provide leadership, direction and support to staff as required to facilitate development within the Construction Team and organization
  • The delivery of a broad range of Civil Construction projects across 13 asset categories including roads, drainage, footpaths and open space projects
  • Develop and maintain key relationships with council staff and other departments focusing on continuous improvement to drive efficient and quality community outcomes

Other Responsibilities :

  • Long term strategic organizational planning
  • Oversee daily operations of the company
  • Design and implement business strategies, plans and procedures
  • Improve operating procedures to increase profits and efficiency.
  • Analyze internal operations and identify areas of process enhancement.


  • Certified Project Manager, with experience in construction sector.
  • At least 10 years cognate experience
  • Experience with a fast-paced, high growth company
  • Proven experience as COO or similar role.
  • Understanding of business functions
  • Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities.
  • Must be relocate to Nigeria.
  • Must be ready to resume as soon as possible.
