Job Description

With a focus on the City of Edmonton’s Cultural Commitments to Safe, Helpful, Accountable, Integrated and Excellent, you will:

  • Work to close off the remaining audit recommendations for the snow and ice control program
  • Liaise across organizational departments to identify SMEs and gather information to propose business case for continuous improvement
  • Develop responses to Council requests for information or recommendation based reports
  • Synthesize data gathered into accurate and meaningful insights/recommendations
  • Compile supporting documentation and develop presentation materials
  • Analyze system data to produce current state snapshot and develop a roadmap to future state (gap analysis)
  • Manage the implementation of data collection tools and processes in partnership with Business Integration, ensure alignment of data management systems within Parks and Roads Services
  • Continuously monitor and audit data quality and recommend/incorporate corrective measures/improvements
  • Collaborate with branch partners to elevate business performance
  • Perform other related duties as required

Qualifications :

  • University Degree in Science, Engineering, Business Administration, Statistics, Mathematics, Commerce, Political Science or a related field. Supporting education/training in organizational development, leadership, process improvements, business analytics, strategic planning and/or change management is an asset
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in:
  • Supporting the facilitation of multi-stakeholder technical groups or committees
  • Project management, research, strategic-thinking, report writing, business case development
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification an asset
  • Advanced level knowledge of primary and secondary research methodologies
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including report writing and facilitation skills
  • Strong project management ability
  • Strong relationship-building and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work closely with internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and strategic abilities, as well as the ability to assess risk and make independent decisions
  • Proficient computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office, Google Applications (Gmail & Sheets), and SAP are assets
  • Trained in Standard First Aid and CPR or evidence of being registered is considered an asset
  • Must arrange own transportation as required to worksites
