The University of Nottingham is looking to appoint two Digital Accessibility Officers to help deliver and underpin a step change in the digital accessibility of its teaching and learning materials.

You will support a new programme of work introducing new technologies, processes, policies and ways of working to support the University in being more accessible. You will work with the Digital Accessibility Consultant in the design and delivery of specific initiatives to improve accessibility. These will involve providing advice about accessible materials particularly to academic staff and supporting them to adopt best practice in accessibility. This role will be predominantly working with academic staff but will also include some work with students in the promotion of productivity and assistive technologies as a benefit to all.

This fixed term role will work across all the University’s faculties to promote an accessibility first approach. Consequently, the roleholder will need knowledge of digital accessibility tools and approaches and will have experience in providing support ( creating support materials and responding to support requests) .

You will be part of the University’s central team of Learning Technology professionals who will work closely alongside you supporting activity within their designated areas. You will be an ambassador for this team by adopting a proactive, positive and forward-thinking approach to all that you do.

The department currently have a flexible working pilot underway. This role can be done partly from home with the expectation of coming into the office at least twice a week (subject to review).
