Job Overview:

The Ecommerce Associate will collaborate with the Merchandise Product Coordinator to execute a best-in-class site experience. The individual will oversee the preparation of all product descriptions and details, merchandise the website and manage site content and navigation. The candidate will also work closely with the marketing team to ensure that the front end of the site is reflective of key marketing initiatives. The Ecommerce Associate must have strong copywriting skills, superb grammatical knowledge and strong analytical skills. He/She is someone who is exceptionally organized, solution-oriented, eager and a team player. A successful candidate will have passion for product merchandising supplemented with strong writing skills and a creative eye.

This position requires close collaboration and frequent communication with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Buying, Tech and Operations, offering a unique opportunity to be involved in many aspects of the ecommerce business.

We are looking for a motivated individual with a self-starter mentality. Critical thinking, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills will be required. Candidates should be interested in the fashionetail industries and be familiar with current trends and ecommerce best practices. This role will report to the VP of Brand Marketing.


  • Overall management of site content and user experience.
  • Own the site experience and leverage user behavior and analytics to increase revenue, conversion and engagement.
  • Increase site visitor engagement; candidate will focus on ongoing a/b testing and improvements to the Halsbrook site experience.
  • Coordinate improvements to site navigation and product-viewing experience and monitor competitive site experiences.
  • Track conversion funnel and path to purchase, defining multi-channel touchpoints, highlighting areas of friction and identifying engagement and conversion opportunities.
  • Manage site operations including product creation, optimization and maintenance; copywriting; edits; and post production photo coordination.
  • Coordinate with photographers and retouchers to ensure post-production needs are met.
  • Work with Merchandise Product Coordinator to oversee all on-site product merchandising strategies.
  • Maintain all front-end marketing updates including, but not limited to, homepage updates, top navigation updates, Style Guide updates, etc.
  • Review site daily to deliver elevated, best-in-class experience; ensure website is accurate reflection of brand strategy.
  • Lead SEO initiatives across the site.
  • Translate marketing initiatives into compelling on-site collections.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on product placement and knowledge.
  • Maintain an organized and comprehensive product library.
  • Provide ecommerce analytics and reporting as needed.
  • Lead desktop and mobile optimization projects.
  • QA emails and site as needed.

Qualifications and Competencies:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from a 4-year college or university.
  • 3+ years of relevant ecommerce experience.
  • This role requires creative thinking, creative writing, analytical rigor, excellent written and oral communication skills and detail orientation.
  • Candidate should have an entrepreneurial spirit and an interest in growing a business.
  • Must be a team player and must be comfortable working in a less structured, dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of ecommerce best practices and customer behavior.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work across functional lines and at many levels.
  • Strong presenter with strong communication skills and ability to confidently discuss results with all levels of the organization.
  • A refined taste level with a strong knowledge and passion for fashion history and trends.
  • Technical skills: Microsoft Word/Excel/PowerPoint.
  • Working/basic knowledge of photoshop/illustrator preferred.
