- Assist in preparing tools and equipment for gearbox maintenance
- Assist in the rigging of gearbox components for maintenance purposes
- Monitoring and maintaining rigging equipment
- Breaking down rigging equipment and conducting post-rigging inspections
- Carrying out works ashore, shipyards or on-board frigates, dealing with major overhauling, inspection, maintenance, commissioning of on-board systems
- Provide assistance to the service team during operation and maintenance work as and when required without compromising the safety and well-being of the personnel and company property
- Other steel structural work:
- Cutting of steel structure or bolt using a flame torch
- Carried out simple assembly/dismantling work with bolts/shackles/cable ties
- De-rusting and painting of steel components
- Workshop housekeeping
- Ensure compliance with relevant government regulations and the company’s QHSE policies.
- Any other responsibilities as instructed by the management
Requirements
- At least two years of relevant working experience as a rigger
- In-depth knowledge of rigging equipment and heavy machinery
- Physically fit to work in machinery space, workshop and noisy environment
- Ability to work outdoors in harsh weather conditions
- Able to commence work immediately will be given a priority
