The Position

Manages every aspect of the delivery, receipt incoming inspection, receiving and warehousing of inventory materials for Reagent Manufacturing and coordinating the above mentioned for non-inventory items ordered for remaining departments at the Brackengate facility.

Job Description:

Role And Responsibilities

  • Completes ERP transactional receipting for both Lot and non-Lot tracked Inventory and Non-Inventory materials for the site
  • Retrieves supporting documentation (delivery notes, invoices, PO’s, CoAs, CoCs etc) from either procurement or supplier websites to complete record for QMS compliance
  • Filing/Scanning of all relevant documentation and working with Finance department to arrange payment
  • Interdependency on the Warehouse Control actions for inspection records to ensure electronic receipting is completed accurately
  • Tracks Direct inventory material value on a monthly basis

Internal Item request

  • Review requests for Warehoused materials upon receipt
  • Allocate and physically hand material to requestor
  • Complete ERP transactions to align inventory


  • Receiving – Receives, inspects and prioritizes distribution of direct and indirect materials, laboratory supplies and/or raw material products, ensuring accurate quantities and completing record
  • Inventory Control – Label, physical Management and Control of laboratory Inventory and consumables
  • Warehouse Control – Arrange, label and optimize warehousing space
  • Performing regular stock checks to continuously ensure electronic and physical inventory alignment
  • Schedule, coordinate and manage deliveries of new equipment to facility
  • Interdependency on the Inventory Clerk actions to ensure electronic receipting is completed


  • Schedule, coordinate and manage deliveries of new operations Equipment for the Brackengate facility


  • Ensure that the Line Manager and Supply Chain stakeholders are kept in the loop on demands exceeding supply, warehousing constraints and challenges

ISO Raw Material Storage Compliance

  • Ensure that the ISO procedures are relevant and up to date on the existing actions
  • Follow the ISO procedures outlined for raw material purchasing, receiving, labelling etc
  • Actively participating in CAPA and NCR processes


  • Establish, nurture and maintain good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders through regular communication, networking and attending relevant meetings
  • Build a team culture of excellence, exceptional work ethic, superior quality of work and collaborative team spirit
  • Maintains 100% compliance for training, drives and recommends appropriate measures for continuous improvement possibilities
  • Other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications And Education Requirements

  • Science or Logistics diploma/degree
  • Minimum of two years relevant work experience in a similar role at a Production facility in a cold chain environment
  • Knowledge and experience as well as full understanding of ERP system setup (SAP), and maintenance is preferred at a minimum of 2 years
  • Demonstrate knowledge of distribution processes and import/export activities
  • Demonstrate knowledge of inventory management and physical counting coordination
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google cSuite
  • Working knowledge of Quality Compliance Systems (NCR’s, CR’s, CAPA systems) would be beneficial
  • Sound knowledge of MRP/SAP system logic would be beneficial
  • Ability to operate in a complex matrix environment
