Technology Infrastructure Services (TIS), part of the Global Technology & Operations organization, consists of more than 6,600 employees worldwide. With a presence in more than 35 countries, TI designs, builds, and operates end-to-end technology infrastructure solutions and manages critical systems and platforms across the bank. TI delivers industry-leading infrastructure products and services to the company’s employees, customers, and clients around the world. The group this position is part of provides 24×7 support for production systems and therefore will require some off-hours and weekend work.

Job Description

The successful candidate should be able to facilitate large meetings utilizing presentation tools and be savvy in a wide range of technologies. Position will require some weekend work throughout the year, leading and performing support for Data Center Isolation Exercise events and other resiliency exercise types & scenarios. Other projects and activities will be assigned outside of the resiliency program for completion by the successful candidate. Additional responsibilities may include thought leadership on diverse group integration, participation on improving the interactions between Disaster Recovery, High Availability, and Sustained Resiliency processes within the firm.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for providing vision and then execution to modernize firm-wide resiliency exercise events
  • Act as the focal point for executing and supporting testing paradigms (e.g. data centers, production services, and risk and security)
  • Experience in testing and program management within technology, operations or business
  • Experience in oversight and leading preparation and development of execution plans for Resiliency Exercises (i.e., Data Center Isolation Planning, Security Threat Response, etc)
  • Coordination of enterprise resiliency, isolation and disaster preparedness testing consistent to meet emerging business and regulatory requirements
  • Lead key Operations and LOB SMEs through planning sessions towards agreed-upon objectives in a manner that encourages participation, ownership and a shared vision
  • Demonstrate ability to lead and execute on cross-organization initiatives
  • Support end-to-end core program planning process and resiliency exercise execution
  • Produce Resiliency Exercise Overview detailing Scope and Plan, milestones and deliverables
  • Coordinate testing to measure readiness to invocation vs a check the box scenario
  • Understand and report on the status and capability of resiliency testing, highlighting exposures, gaps, audit exceptions, and gap remediation progress
  • Document findings and support in the identification, discussion and documentation of potential risk/watch items and lessons learned
  • Support development and delivery of resiliency testing program
  • Change and Problem Management Skills: Ability to adequately identify and document root cause and any follow up activities needed to mitigate re-occurrence; documented as needed in Remedy SOR

Requirements

  • Education – B.A/B. COM/ B.E/B. Tech/B.Sc./BCA
  • Certifications If Any – BFSI Domain certifications (Not Mandatory)
  • Experience Range – 8 + years

Foundational Skills

  • Demonstrate broad technical knowledge of infrastructure technologies in areas such as Distributed/Cloud Components, Mainframe Components and Mid-Range Components
  • Strong Knowledge of Bank’s Policies and Procedures
  • Demonstrate project management skills – ability to lead by influence
  • Ability to communicate to a wide variety of senior managers across the organization
  • Preparing and Communicating Best Practices, Case Studies, Tips & Tricks, etc.
  • Identify and document opportunities for improvement
  • A good understanding of Operational risk and resilience, Business Process improvement methods as well as risk related control frameworks and practices
  • Excellent understanding of Agile project management best practices and tools
  • Excellent communication skills, especially related to facilitation, documentation and reporting
  • Reasonable depth of exposure/understanding of Business Continuity Management processes and best practices
  • Good skills with presentation tools such as PowerPoint
  • Rationalize all availabilityecovery telemetry, tools and reports
  • Ability to communicate and present findings to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Flexibility and ability to manage schedule according to global time zones
  • Ability to perform weekend and/or shift work to support Resiliency Program requirements
  • High level of energy, and can work under pressure with minimal supervision

Desired Skills

  • Prior experience in similar role within financial services industry
  • 8+ years of diverse technical experience in applicable Testing environment
  • 5+ years of experience in Disaster Recovery (DR) Testing – leading initiatives
  • 5-7 years of technology resiliency experience
  • Understanding of Technology risk & controls policies, processes, and the ability to quickly identify areas of weakness
  • Professional level of etiquette in high pressure situations
  • Proven success building internal and external relationships with business partners

Work Timings – 10:30 AM – 7:30 PM with some weekend work throughout the year
