The Logistician will be responsible for supporting the planning and execution of logistics operations for a government client. This individual will work closely with project team members to ensure timely delivery of materials, equipment, and supplies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain logistics plans and schedules
  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment
  • Monitor and track inventory levels, and coordinate with the procurement team to ensure adequate stock is maintained
  • Oversee the transportation of materials and equipment, including coordinating with carriers and arranging for necessary permits and documentation
  • Assist with the development and management of budgets related to logistics operations
  • Conduct regular reviews of logistics processes to identify areas for improvement and implement process changes as needed
  • Participate in meetings and briefings with team members and clients to provide updates on logistics progress and address any issues that may arise

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g. logistics, supply chain management)
  • 5+ years of experience in logistics and supply chain management
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and logistics management software
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Active Secret security clearance is preferred, but not required.

In this role, the Logistician will work as part of a dynamic team to support the logistics needs of a government client. The successful candidate will have a strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. They will be responsible for coordinating with various team members and external vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials, equipment, and supplies. The Logistician will also be responsible for monitoring and tracking inventory levels and coordinating with the procurement team to ensure adequate stock is maintained.

The ideal candidate for this position will have a bachelor’s degree in a related field such as logistics or supply chain management, as well as 5+ years of experience in logistics and supply chain management. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are also essential for this role, as is the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
