Exciting Opportunity for An Office Operations and EHS Manager in GSK!

Job Purpose

As an Office Operations and EHS Manager, you will ensure a well-run facilities and fleet operation while executing the duties of Commercial EHS Lead and Security Champion for Consumer Health, Southern Africa.

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Ensures our facilities continuously evolve to meet the needs of employees and our Modern Employer standards to include executing against GSK’s 20 Global Commitments a subset requiring specific facility standards (such as provide enabled workspaces and work tools and reasonable accommodations necessary to ensure that all employees, regardless of disability, can perform at their highest potential)
  • Manages all office moves in partnership with GSK’s Worldwide Real Estate
  • Management of all facilities third parties (cleaning services, security services, flowers, coffee services, pest control, shredding, etc.) and ensures compliant vendor management and payments.
  • Manages of office supplies budget and deployment processes
  • Manages employee asset deployment and tracking to include Data Cards, Inverters, and other office equipment.
  • Full end to end GSK Consumer Vehicle Fleet management
  • Works within the company guidelines that outlines the roles and responsibilities of EHS County Lead under the leadership of EHS BU, Middle East Africa (MEA) Lead.
  • Set Southern Africa EHS objectives, aligned to Country requirements and MEA Business Unit (BU) EHS objectives.
  • Facilitates EHS council to accomplish commercial EHS objectives and monitor implementation
  • Leads EHS risk assessment and work with business partners to mitigation EHS risks.
  • Coordinates key commercial EHS programs implementation, such as driver safety, Work place Safety, Ergonomics, health and wellbeing
  • Facilitate EHS incidents investigation and responsible for EHS incident and injuries on duties reporting to local authority and global EHS reporting system
  • Establishes, reviews and updates commercial EHS policy and procedures in the commercial organization
  • Develop EHS training programs for commercial organization and deliver EHS induction training for new employee induction program and awareness session to all staff
  • Is responsible to coordinate regular EHS inspection and audit program within commercial offices
  • Is responsible to manage documentation and records for EHS matters
  • Liaison with MEA BU EHS network to learn and benchmark best EHS practice
  • Works within the GSK guidelines that outlines the roles and responsibilities of Security County Champion under the leadership of Head of Security, EMEA
  • Assist the GSK SA Consumer Leadership team in the conduct of Country Crisis Management, including periodic training and plan reviews

Why you?

Basic Qualifications

  • A university degree, or equivalent
  • At least 5 years’ work experience
  • Project management experience
  • Experience in a FMCG/CH environment
  • Experience as a Security, EHS or Facility Lead preferred
  • People management preferred
