Our Customer Operations team is at the core of supporting and protecting our customers, providing service in complicated scenarios, across four worldwide locations.

We’re looking for a Senior Project Manager with a passion for problem solving and strong communication skills to join our Operations team, we are an established team who deliver on varied, fast-paced projects. We are looking for a candidate who has proven experience using various project management methodologies and frameworks and is comfortable sharing new insights and ideas to improve the way we work.

This role is responsible for project managing improvements and capabilities to enhance the experience and outcomes for our customers and agents, improve efficiency and reduce our costs. You will deliver on a wide range of initiatives, from regulatory or card-scheme driven change, to the implementation of multi-year strategies to evolve how the operation works.

You will be pivotal in creating and maintaining focus, enthusiasm and momentum as we bring together multiple teams across the business from the inception of a new idea, through to delivery, ensuring we have effective coordination of projects and management of their inter-dependencies including oversight of any risks and issues arising.

What You’ll Do

You will need to:

Manage and drive cross-functional projects by;

  • Establish parameters for success with all stakeholders including executive sponsors
  • Create cohesive project teams to ensure great outcomes across the business by establishing and maintaining trusted plans for delivery; ensuring dependencies across all objectives are well managed.
  • Define and manage appropriate project governance, reporting and control suitable to expand into programme level governance if required.
  • Proactively monitor project progress, resolving issues, anticipating and managing risk whilst ensuring key stakeholders are informed and aware
  • Manage communications with broad stakeholder groups across the UK and Enterprise, including third parties where applicable
  • Build and leverage a network of experts in our systems and processes
  • Think creatively about new ways of working to contribute to effective delivery
  • Lead a team of project managers if required ensuring they continue to develop through effective coaching and skill sharing
  • Be the voice of Operations through;
    • Partnering with our Technical Programme Managers to aid accurate definition of intent, delivery approach and milestones, for technology-focused change
    • Working with our Product Management teams to ensure the project requirements accurately reflect the needs of our customers and agents
    • Understanding and anticipating operational impacts of business changes to allow us to influence direction and delivery
    • Provide a clear communication and coordination channel between Customer Operations, technology teams and the wider business

What We’re Looking For

The skills you’ll have are:

  • Experience delivering projects by utilising appropriate project management frameworks, ideally in a customer service, operational or technical environment
  • Results focussed; balancing the need for great quality and consistency with maximising benefits to the business by
  • Excellent analytical skills, providing structured thinking and challenge to problems, coupled with an unwavering desire to deliver for our customers and business
  • The ability to quickly grow technical and business understanding to help support cross-functional delivery teams
  • A high level of emotional intelligence and excellent communication skills
  • A credible track record of improving the productivity of delivery or teams

Where And How You’ll Work

This is a permanent position and can be based in our Nottingham offices.

Our flexible, hybrid working model gives you the opportunity to work both remotely and in our offices, which provide great spaces for in-person collaboration.

Our core office days are Tuesday to Thursday, but the number of days you actually spend in the office will be led by your team, the work you’re doing and your preferences. Many of our associates have flexible working patterns, so we’re open to discuss flexible working arrangements with you.
