Specific Requirements

In this position, you will be responsible for:

  • Leadership of the inspection teams
  • Management of materials flow through the inspection department.
  • Coordination of inspections or other work with material planners and operations.
  • Strategic and tactical management of the quality and inspection organization.
  • Identification and execution of department / site improvement activities.
  • Manage and prioritize substantial and diverse workload and changing priorities.
  • Develop and provide training and technical support tools for users with varying levels of inspection skills.
  • Completion of annual performance reviews.
  • Coach and mentor on job performance.
  • Communicate and escalate concerns to responsible parties in real time.
  • SAP and department reporting to support escapes and material flow management.

Education Requirements

Travel Requirements: <10%

  • Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of relevant experience or High School Diploma and 7 years of relevant experience required.

Experience Required

  • Hands-on quality inspection experience with proven ability to lead and resolve daily quality issues, including those complex and at the program support level.
  • Expertise in AS9100 standard.
  • Experience in providing support and mentorship to individuals of varied skill levels.
  • Ability to communicate to all levels of the organization to identify clear and concise objectives, identify and share risks and opportunities.
  • Review, coach, and mentor persons involved with Quality corrective action requests and implementation.
  • Ability to provide strategic recommendations as it relates to the quality control and the overall business.
  • Strong prioritization skills with the ability to maintain a high degree of flexibility.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • SAP ERP experience is a plus.

  • Lifting < 40 pounds
  • Periods of standing
