Summary Of Job

Responsible for assisting guests with rental setup, sizing, pre and post rental safety inspections as well as assisting in minor repairs to maintain rental fleets. Provide recommendations of products and rental upgrades to enhance the customer’s experience.

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Provide customers with the highest level of service
  • Gather customer information to ensure proper sizing and fit of rental equipment to company standards and customer’s satisfaction
  • Protect company liability in regard to services performed in rental process
  • Ensure rental paperwork is completed legibly, accurately, and filed accordingly
  • Ensure all proper housekeeping methods and overall cleanliness of the shop is adhered to

Job Requirements

  • Display mechanical aptitude to be able to perform bike safety inspection, adjustments and fitting of rental fleet
  • Within 30 days*- can demonstrate ability to, perform safety checks, repair flat tires and complete other minor repairs
  • Passion for cycling / bicycles / ski / snowboard / outdoors
  • Perform store tasks outside of normal role as asked
  • Ability to stand and move in an active, team-oriented environment for extended periods
  • Ability to communicate with co-workers and guests in accurate spoken and written English
  • Basic computer skills
  • Commitment to exceptional customer service
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule; including nights, holidays and weekends

Physical Demands

  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time, operate hand and power tools, lift and carry bikes and parts, skis, snowboards and other equipment
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds (medium lifting)
  • Ability to bend, walk, stand, sit, lift, reach above shoulders
  • Ability to communicate via phone and radio
  • Position would be trained/guided/coached and evaluated by senior associate
