Your Role and Responsibilities

The Subscription Annuity Seller focuses on renewing public sector government and healthcare Passport Advantage Renewals. The primary goals of this position are to ensure renewals are closed on time, year-to-year growth, and identifying reinstatement, winback , Cloudpak and new license opportunities while minimizing attrition. This role will focus yty growth while identifying reinstatement, winback , CloudPak and other new growth opportunities (OI).

Renewal Seller will minimize on prem attrition through reinstatement and trade ups. The goal is to protect and grow the clients SWG annual spend. The objective involves working with IBM’s Client Teams, Software Sales Representatives, dealmakers, senior IBM executives, customers and partners to ensure timely processing of software renewals and maximizing the software subscription and support revenue.

In addition to working with the local sales and business partner organization, the renewal advocate also gets involved with the operations, pricing, contracts and negotiations, legal, and Customer Support organizations. This position may involve face-to-face engagement with customer base. If deemed appropriate, travel may be required to secure relationship with the customer and extended IBM Team. Understanding IBM’s cross brand portfolio, passport advantage, and end to end business process (On Prem and cloud as appropriate), external and internal, is critical to role of a Renewal Advocate. An understanding of and drive of our Net Promoter program is vital as the renewal representative closes new business for the IBM corporation. Renewal advocates are expected to complete all IBM mandated education on a timely basis and increase skills year to year. The renewal advocate participates in all IBM Digital Sales education and travel requirements.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
