Job Description
GDIT has an opportunity for a Systems Engineer supporting Guardrail Common Sensor (GRCS) at Camp Humphreys, South Korea. This position requires someone with a current and active TS/SCI clearance and the ability to obtain CI-Poly.
Guardrail Common Sensor (GRCS) System Engineer primarily supports the GRCS with initializing, placing into operation, and troubleshooting software interfaces of the specific C5ISR communication system being supported.
Requirements
- Initialize, install and troubleshoot software interfaces.
- Assist new users with managing system requirements, including data management, data recovery, and techniques to operate/maintain records.
- Provide over-the-shoulder technical assistance or training to troubleshoot software installation, software updates, and software fixes and be capable of being able to provide other required support.
- Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure.
- Install, configure, test, and maintain operating systems, application software, and system management tools.
- Ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability.
- Monitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions and work with developers to implement those fixes.
- Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies.
- Write and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and reduce human intervention time on tasks.
- May participate in the design of information and operational support systems.
- Primarily supports software family of systems – Operational Intelligence: includes Guardrail Common Sensor (GRCS) and TWISTer. Specializes in supporting GRCS.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in OGS or GRCS support preferred.
- B.A./B.S. 4 years of additional work experience may be substituted for a B.A./B.S. Degree with an A.A./A.S. degree. Two years of additional work experience may be substituted for a B.A./B.S. Degree.
- Security + certification prior to start date.
- VMWare, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Windows Server 2012-2019
- Military experience is desirable.
- TS/SCI with the ability to obtain CI poly
