We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Technical Accounting Specialist at Google in Atlanta, GA. The Technical Accounting Specialist will be responsible for providing support to the accounting team by researching and analyzing complex accounting issues, as well as assisting with the implementation of new accounting standards.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $112,000-$174,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. - Research and analyze complex accounting issues and provide recommendations to management
- Assist with the implementation of new accounting standards and policies
- Review and analyze financial statements and identify areas for improvement
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
- Participate in the development and documentation of accounting policies and procedures
- Provide support to the accounting team on ad-hoc projects and initiatives
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- CPA or progress towards CPA certification
- 3+ years of experience in technical accounting, preferably in a public accounting firm or large corporate environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Detail-oriented and highly organized
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
